Consider something different to practice this summer.
Change your regime! A few suggestions.
You don’t feel like working so hard? That’s OK for a few weeks. Get something at the same level or easier to just maintain what you have without being bored!
Use the summer to really work on scales, scale studies, and articulation. Wow! A unique concept! Amaze your self and your teachers with improved technic!
Want just some fun tunes to keep it all together? OK. Something new, different, sound good without too much sweat!
If you are less than 16 years old and have not played the whole Edlefsen Series:
Try the Tunes for Technic and/or the Studies and Melodious Etudes.
Take it easy, get the Level you are on in the Oboe Student, or ask me for
a recommendation that will fit your needs.

For Sr. Hi.: Edlefsen Level III, Tunes for Technic &/or Studies & Melodious Etudes, If you have not studied it, The Oboe Student. All are excellent & difficult books, Lv.4-6
For all, Level 4-6, Salviani Vol.2, Studies for Oboe – scales, scale patterns, articulation.
Level 4-6+, Verroust, 24 Melodic Studies – Keep your chops in shape, slow & lovely
Level 5, 6+ - Voxman, Selected Studies – Melodic & Technical in every key, var. styles.
Level 6 – 7 – Giampieri, 16 Daily Studies – a challenging twist on scales and patterns
Level 6 ish -- Prestini, Selection of Studies – Selner w/Italian flare! My favorite!
Level 6 -7 – Lamott, Basic Scales and Arpeggio Studies – Only 8 studies, I dare you!
Very advanced – Level VII ish – Pasculli, 15 Capricci – fun and challenging
Level VII - Robert Stephenson, 40 New Melodic & Technical Etudes, ah yes!
