The Old Homestead is the perfect place from which to explore our beautiful state. Burke Mountain ski area is a half hour's drive, or you can cross-country ski right outside our door.

Visit the museums in St. Johnsbury or the state capital in Montpelier. There are two Buddhist retreat centers, Karme Choling and Milarepa, in town and you can swim at Harvey's Lake nearby. Go leaf-peeping in fall and antiquing all year round. Superb dinning can be found, whatever your preference or budget.

The Old Homestead is located in Barnet Village in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, ten miles south of St. Johnsbury on U.S. Rte. 5.
